The main way most local volunteers serve is through one of our one-to-one visitation groups. However, we also welcome those who want to volunteer on their own, whether doing one-to-one visits, helping out with activities, etc.  Our role is just to support those volunteers in whatever way we can. We can work with you to figure out what kind of volunteering works best for you, and can put you in touch with one of the local nursing homes to get set up to volunteer. It might even be possible for us to send one of our experienced volunteers to meet you for your first visit. After that, we are always available for any questions you might have. This volunteering option is best for experienced volunteers who are already comfortable visiting a nursing home.
