1. The reading for this week talked about selfless acts and how they inspire others. Has anyone at the nursing home (staff / family / other visitors) or outside the nursing home (your family/friends) taken notice of your visits? If so, how did they react?
I don't think anyone at the nursing home or outside the nursing home has taken notice of my visits. I think if someone did take notice, however, the reaction would be positive and encouraging.
2. How do you feel immediately after your visit to the nursing home? Does it give you energy or tire you out?
After visiting the nursing home, I always feel better than I did before the visit. This is partly because spending my time helping others creates a feeling of fulfillment, and partly because of the residents themselves. Every time I visit, I find myself fascinated by a story a resident tells about their life, or laughing at a funny anecdote or opinion a resident gives.
